Abstract
investigation of energy consumption attitudes and behavior of Shiraz citizenships (case study of 15-65 year olds)
One of the most important energy reduction programs focused on low cost and low cost energy management activities is awareness and change of attitude. Since individuals' attitudes can influence different behaviors, the present study has attempted to investigate the relationship between attitude and energy consumption behavior in Shiraz city. The research method is descriptive, correlational and the statistical population are citizens aged 15-65 years living in Shiraz city, 286 of whom were selected as statistical sample. The research instrument is a researcher-made questionnaire. According to the research findings, there is a significant relationship between attitude and energy consumption behavior, during attitude is able to explain about 0.50 variance of energy consumption behavior. In addition, gender, age, and monthly income have a significant relationship with energy consumption. But the variables of education level and social class did not show a significant relationship with energy consumption.
