Abstract
Secondary systems are systems with a relatively small mass, which are attached to the main structure and its behavior during an earthquake is very important. Methods of analysis of secondary systems are divided in two categories, the method is based on eliminating the interaction and including the interaction. The relation obtained mentioned can be used for reading and doing research and careful evaluation of the behavior of secondary systems. For designing and the application work, these relationships should be used to a simple form so that we can simply calculate the force of the secondary system and design their connections. The force of nonstructural components in the Iranian code of practice for seismic resistance design of buildings, standard no.2800, is introduced. In this paper, the force of nonstructural components in Iranian code and the others is introduced and compared. From these studies, it was concluded that the term proposed for the calculation of seismic force in the Iranian code of practice for seismic resistance design of buildings, standard no.2800, third edition, similar to UBC97 code and SEACO1999, many of the effective’s parameter is not intended. However, this deficiency has been remedied somewhat in Iranian code of practice for seismic resistance design of buildings, standard no.2800 (fourth edition(
