Abstract
Studies show that despite the increase in public environmental awareness, especially in the last decade and especially the importance of environmental education in children and adolescents, research in the field of environmental education and environmental culture in the formal education system of the country It does not have a proper position and in addition, the level of environmental awareness among school principals, teachers and elementary and high school students in various dimensions has not been well studied.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the environmental responsibility index of male and female high school students in Qazvin special schools in five sections: attitude, behavior, participation, concern and environmental warning. The research is descriptive and was conducted using a random distribution method of a questionnaire containing 40 questions on a 5-point Likert scale. The questions were generally designed according to the students' ability to answer and the possibilities of better and faster analysis, and in line with the main and sub-objectives of the research. The validity of the questionnaire was calculated by factor analysis and the reliability of the questionnaire was calculated using Cronbach's alpha coefficient.
Statistical studies of the correlation matrix research between the total index of environmental responsibility and its dimensions indicate that all correlations at the level of 99% confidence are significant. Among the dimensions of environmental responsibility, the dimension of environmental behavior (0.875) has the highest correlation with the total index and environmental attitude (0.633) has the highest index. The highest correlation between the dimensions of environmental responsibility is related to environmental behavior and warning (0.598) and the lowest relationship between environmental attitude and environmental warning (0.354) is ruling.
The results indicate that there is a significant difference between environmental responsibility of male and female students (P <0.0001), girls have more environmental responsibility than boys. There was also a significant difference between the level of responsibility of middle and high school students (P <0.0001). Middle school students have more environmental responsibility than high school students.
